It makes for a much faster way to get transactions taken care of. When I was stationed in Japan, it would take up to 2 weeks to get mail sometimes. That is a 2 week delay in getting parts shipped out to my customers. With paypal, I always got paid up front and had the part out right away. As for the 3% fee, it all depends hwo big a ticket the item is on whether or not it becomes a pain. If it were a big ticket item, I'm charging the extra 3%. If it were a cheaper item, I would sometimes let it slide. If I was playing middle man, I always charged the 3% on top of my 15% commission otherwise I would be eating the expense on a part that was never mine to begin with. Paypal can be annoying at times but it makes life so much easier.
