Message the reason the 350z has a CF from the factory.

The 350Z was designed to appeal to a younger more entry sports car focused buyer. It had to sell units where the Z32 couldn't because it was too expensive to manufacture and to own. So Nissan built the 350z using tons of shared tech from the other platforms in its line up in the early 2000s. Same motor in Maxima and 3.5 Altima, similar suspension, same chassis as G35 except for extra length, etc etc. Where the Z32 shared very little with the bulk of the Nissan line up the 350z shared TONs with its contemporaries. The 350z was built cheaper, was built simpler and was aimed at a younger buyer and it sold TONS vs the Z32. The 350z was always low on power when compared to the *potential* of a tuned TT Z32 but on paper it sounded like a NA 350z was pretty similar to a vanilla Z32 TT with both having about ~300hp. The 350z then turned to things that look and sound cool - factory front strut bar, massive and hard to avoid rear trunk bar structure, factory carbon fiber 1 piece driveshaft, factory Brembo brakes, all new alloy suspension architecture, ie all aluminum control arms and rear subframe... what the 350z couldn't be in power, it made up in low weight, and performance sounding bits. The CF driveshaft on the 350z is there because it sounds cool and it's impressive that an Nissan product aimed at the general consumer would have that. It doesn't solve any problem or address any thing with the design of the Z33 or Z32. The G35 of the same era has the metal 2 piece, because it was a slightly longer car AND it was supposed to feel MORE refined and quiet. A 1 piece DS will always transmit more NVH than a 2 piece unit ASSUMING that the 2 piece is in good repair and installed correctly. It has everything to do with wavelengths of sound transmitted vs the lengths of the piping.

The only conclusion I would draw from your journey is that the 1 piece is balanced correctly and that CF can be more forgiving to NVH because its a resin not a metal pipe. The vibration your had is most likely caused by install error with the CSB, getting the shaft out of phase and not having the balance on it confirmed. The 2 piece aftermarket unit I have no faith in and the quality is unknown. Your profile is about your previous car but if you have similar parts on this one all those ES / Whiteline bushings in subframes and arms and solid mounts are part of the problem too.
