I was a 12- or 13-year-old kid from the country so I thought I was riding in a spaceship at the time. Left an impression on me. Fast forward to 2002 and I bought a 1991 Z32 on Ebay. Risky I know but I got lucky. I flew out to Washington DC with my then girlfriend to find a mint, black Twin Turbo with 14,000 miles waiting for me. We felt like rock stars driving it back to MN what with the blacked-out windows and a special Virginia plate with a large SR-71 Black Bird adorning it. Wish I still had that plate! I still own the Z and have had many great memories since. Drove it to our destination wedding on the North Shore, weekend getaways, date nights etc. To me, the Z32 just fills a niche I like. It looks like a qausi-exotic but there is no pretensions to owning one. Maybe I'm a judgmental type, but when I see a Camaro/Mustang/Corvette I think knuckle dragging mouth breather. Porsche or BMW- pretentious car snob. The Z however, is just special, almost mysterious in a way I can't describe.
