I bought my first Z new in 1972. Had it about 10 years and 105K miles before I was rear-ended on the freeway and it was a total wreak. I bought a new 1982 280ZX Turbo to replace it, which I rolled 2 years later. Tried to find a new '83 Z as a replacement without success, so I got a 1984 Turbo. When the 1990's came out I was sure that would be my next car, but since it was a clean sheet car I wanted to make sure it was as perfect as it looked. I waited until Dec so that the dealers were no longer scalping them and I could see if the '91 model would change. I got a 90 TT that came off the line in late May 1990 and I was lucky to only pay sticker price. It was my daily driver until 1997, at which time it had 150K miles on the clock. Wanting to let time catch-up with the miles I bought a Lexus for commuting and saved the Z32 fun drives and an occasional commute. That car now has 225K miles on it and looks like the day it was bought. I always cover it wherever I parked and garage it at home. My wife has instructions to bury me in it and hopefully she waits until I die...
