Message Ok, for anyone that's going to say 'you need to change all the piping and the intercoolers for maximum gains,,,,,,' I KNOW THAT already.

What my question is, is;
Does anyone know or have they done any testing, with upgraded intercoolers to the large style with the 2.5" inlet/outlet with stock pipes to see if there's 'reasonable' gains over other intercoolers that are only 2.0" with stock plumbing?

I upgraded to the Z1 intercoolers years ago. They are the 2.0" inlet/outlet style. Pretty easy install and I was happy with the gains over stock.
I was thinking of going to the 2.5" SpecialtyZ intercoolers with adapter silicone couplers to fit my stock piping that's 2.0" Then later (couple years) would go the full 2.5" piping to match the new large style intercoolers.

The reason I'm asking if that if no real gains because of the restrictive 2.0" stock plumbing, then I'll most likely wait the couple or few years down the road and then go the whole shebang.

Right now I'm not in the position to go the whole route (cost wise and the work involved) yet thought I'd pick up a set and get the large intercooler part done first, especially if I'll notice some value in doing that now.

Thanks,
Vin
