Message	On how absolutely blown out of proportion CVT failures are. Ive owed 6 nissans with CVTs from 2009 to 2024. The only one with an issue was due to previous owner neglect. Changed the fluid 2x and the problem went away. The fluid needs to be drained and filled as it wears out eventually especially on pre 2016 CVTs. Sounds like you were one of the unlucky ones with the rogue and that year was one of the memorable failure years. The new gen jatcos are no longer problematic on a large scale. How many of those “failures” were actual failures. I worked at a Chrysler dealer for years as a tech so Ive seen some fun things too. I would bet 50% of those “failures” were techs throwing transmissions at them due to lack of diagnostic time and actual troubleshooting.
