| You may get quite a few recommendations regarding what exhaust people like. Some are more quiet than others, but quiet is very subjective. I'm going to tell you that for the most part, a 'noisy' exhaust is one that has a lot of drone. A louder exhaust that does not have drone may feel and sound very comfortable traveling down the road. The way to get rid of drone in the most effective way, is through 'branch resonators.' Those are capped off pipes that use reverse sound waves to cancel out the drone. You can look it up or we can have others chime in there that have done this to thier cars. Basically what I'm saying is that for the most part, most if not all louder/free flowing exhausts are going to cause some amount of drone and that's what is really going to cause the discomfort to passengers in the car when you're hitting the rpm's that cause the annoying drone. I would research 'side branch' or 'branch resonators' to learn more about that before you just jump on some aftermarket exhaust and become really disappointed in the new-found exhaust annoyance you're bound to wind up with in most aftermarket exhausts.
