I had seen multiple takes on how to do this and if it was even necessary. After going through HPA's webinar on this topic: https://www.hpacademy.com/previous-webinars/229-engine-break-in-myths-dispelled/ It just made more sense to me than anything else...and these guys have a great rep. We have done 2J's and VG's this way and gotten really good results. Is it 1000% necessary? No. Could you get pretty close on the street? Probably. But if you have any sort of reasonable access to a dyno and you have already gone through the trouble of a new engine, build, and prob need a tune anyway why not just do it right the first time? Also your pretty close to us.... so if you want to make the drive from Tauranga, NZ to Lexington, KY we would be more than happy to help out ;)
