Message	needs that to bleed off boost, whether that be in front of the turbo or atmosphere, it doesn't matter. The amount of bleed off is so small that it simply doesn't matter if that metered air is lost. What does matter for that filter or a barb fitting is if the wastegate is a single port or double port, then the plumbing will differ. Here is one example.
