Message	For without his motor mounts, we would be doing ANOTHER engine pull... Amateur Z swapped my VerTT built VG motor early February. Mixman working on the pull for his 'loaner' motor which I had been running while the other motor was getting built Side by side parts swap for the new built motor Amateur Z (plus a few Nissan mechanic ringers who were slumming that weekend) install the built motor So, everything went in according to plan. Hooked up all hoses, connectors, accessories and fuel system. Boost leak test.... FAIL! Air pouring out the driver's side turbo inlet flange, on the motor side (top bolt). Fine, we'll tighten it... and with a combination of long wobbly socket extensions, got it over the AC condensor... nope! Stripped, spinning and won't tighten. FAWK!!! Welp, faced with crisis, Amateur Z stepped up. Pulled bolts on turbo inlets. Got a larger thread bolt and got a drill and tap over the AC compressor (on long socket extensions) over the AC compressor. Hand ground the bit into the stripped upper bolt hole. Followed up with hand turning the bottom tap into the hole and testing the new bolt. Worked great! Except the inlet flange hole was too small for the new bolt... so: Got a 90 degree Milwaukee cordless driver and above mentioned socket extensions and larger drill bit to enlarge the inlet flange hole. Worked a treat! Reassembled the inlet flange with new upper bolt. Boost leak tested... and YES (with two small upper hose leaks... fixed in 5 minutes) holding 5 PSI for 3 minutes with minor leakdown. Good Enough! So, what does all this have to do with Brett Dempsey?!? We would have never achieved this without his motor mounts... it would have been *another* engine pull... sigh. With his low profile mounts, we could access the bolts with the fan and fan shroud removed with the engine in the car and effect the repair... the veteran Nissan tech we roped into the poject was impressed. So take a bow, Brett... Amateur Z salutes you! Engine is ready for dyno tuning this June: Cheers all!
