Its an interesting discussion and I think there would be some general trendlines but I don't think it will always be 1:1 The first thing that comes to mind with this is the variable of ignition timing. If I had two identical Z's in everyway except on the 2nd one I pulled 15 degrees of ignition timing their MAF voltage readings would remain the same...but their HP would be drastically different. So air moved doesn't tell the entire story about power being made. The second item is that MAF readings at least on a Haltech setup are non linear when looking at voltage in relation to the amount of air being moved. So every 1 volt doesn't measure the same as the previous one did....on a MAP sensor it does. I'm not sure how the 300ZX ECU handles this.
