Personally I'd like to see BDE come out with a solid shifter bracket as I can't stress enough that the BDE engine mounts, trans mount and Zspeed shifter bracket are the golden trifecta of shifting gears. The whole point of the stock setup's rubber bushings are to cut down on NVH of the shifter since it is mounted to the drive train. The BDE mounts seem to reduce drivetrain NVH to a degree that there is very little left to transfer through to the solid shifter bracket/shifter. Obviously there is still going to be some vibrations and movement, but it feels incredible overall. In terms of my V1 ZSpeed bracket, it has mounting slots instead of holes so there is a ton of positioning adjustment and you have to work hard to find the correct OEM shifter position on install. The V2 bracket has holes that match the OEM bracket's holes, so there is really no way for it to be installed other than perfect OEM position. It still works just as well, but I'd prefer the simpler installation of the V2. Lastly in regards to the Xcessive shifter bracket, that might be better than nothing for the time being, but I'm bummed it doesn't include a boot and cover solution like the Zspeed kit did. I'd still get that over using the stock shifter bracket with worn rubber bushings.
