From what I have heard on multiple occasions, Excedy multi discs are a bit noisy. Obviously there is some metal on metal contact in twins and triples, but here it would be a but more pronounced. If you are looking for something on a quieter side, those clutches would not be a good choice. Secondly, there is absolutely no reason to buy a used multi disc. Chances are that it was pulled for a reason and you will pay the difference you saved in order to refurbish it. I strongly recommend to go with SPEC twin disc. That is a company out of Florida and a good number of Z32 owners are running that setup. It is very well priced at around $1100-1300 depending on options you choose, smooth engagement and they are on a quieter side as well.
