Message	they last a very long time. In 1997 @ 143,000 I had them both off when I replaced my original turbo's and put in a new clutch. At that time I lubed the starter and replaced the Alt bearings, just because I had it out. They were not making noise in any way. So the electronics are still untouched in 32 years and 225,000 miles.
