I have a rear signal light bulb question.... What bulb do you have in the rear signal lights? 1156? Here's what I found on my car; I have a '93 TT (my brother has a '93 n/a convertible). We were both switching to LED's at the rear. He put in 1156's. When I tried to put in my 1156 LED's, they would not fit. Low and behold, they are 7507's. That means the base pins are not a 180 degrees opposite each other. They are at 150 degrees opposite. WTH??? Same year cars. Same OEM US spec wiring harness (I think?). I looked up the bulb chart for these cars and don't see where they list 7507's for the rear indicator bulbs for '93 TT's. I sanded off a pin on the LED's and they fit and work fine (needed a different indicator relay to work with the LED's to prevent fast flashing). *saw this and tried it; https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Fit-a-1156-LED-Bulb-Into-a-7507-Housing/#:~:text=You%20may%20notice%20that%20the%201156%20and%207507,bulb%27s%20base%20to%20fit%20it%20into%20the%20housing. Just curious as to why the same year cars (/93 TT vs n/a) would have different rear signal bulb requirements. All works, but wondering if anyone else ran into this issue.
