Message	The pads are Hawk ceramic and the rotors are Hawk cross drilled rotors. There was an anti rust coating on the rotor face and the instructions said to leave it on, which I thought was odd. Besides the surface rust, you are seeing the grooves in the rotors as the reason they need turned? All that build up on the pads is what I'm assuming is the anti rust coating from the face of the rotor.
