DOT, EPA, the economy and this “social media” instant, disposable and quick gratification generation have killed a lot. Nowadays people have disposable lifestyles. “I’ll purchase this now without thinking about it and if I don’t like it I’ll sell it tomorow”. And the cycle repeats. As families get more and more bigger, busier and keep purchasing 75” TV’s at Wal-mart for $699 there’s no desire for $65,000 sports car ( that’s the price point they should aim for ). People (of all ages) are trading in and purchasing a new vehicles every 3-4 years.” I do think there is a Market for these cars now and in the future. But it’s not a profitable Market for Nissan. So in a company that has been on financial thin ice it doesn’t make sense.
