Message	"bad stuff." There's also the flip side of storing a car with fresh oil and having moisture build up. Pick your poison. I'm just following what a friend recommended as he works for a UOA lab. That said, if the car was going to sit for years, I'd likely put in fresh oil before storing and then change it again before driving. In all honesty, I think this is being over analyzed.
