The supposed buyer was a dealer. Dealers are in the biz of making $ and the simple fact is that you could build that car for half of the supposed selling price. It use to be that you got half your $ back for mods (if you're lucky) but now you're telling me that its suddenly reversed and you now get double? LOL Come on man!!! Don't you find it odd that it's the only one ever to have commanded such a price, when there are oodles of similar cars out there....?? ....and I hope you also realize that just bc it says "sold", that doesn't mean that the seller was paid. I'm old enough to know that if smells like shit, then it is.....
