In searching for someone to repair my speedometer, since Gary is so backed up, a member pointed me to an Electrical Engineer in Orange County Ca. He did an excellent job, touching up all the solder points and replacing a transistor that was not performing up to spec. He developed a test bench that would drive the speedometer and tested it in a environmental chamber at -40F & +120F. He also did a second one for a friend in Long Beach. He has a complete electronics lab at his disposal, his name is Matt Lovett and his email is mattlovett@mattlovett.com. He is interested in doing more circuit board projects if anyone is interested and gave me permission to spread the word. He may be joining this site even tho he does not own a Z, and if he does I will update this with his screen name. . My repair was $50 for analysis and $100 + parts for repairs.
