I used to run 245/40 & 275/35 on a 8.5 +35 & 9.5 +35. The front was perfect but the rear would always rub and I didn't want to pull/roll or run too much camber. I currently run 255/35 & 285/30 on 9 +30 & 10 +45 and is perfect, flush and no rubbing. You're really not gaining anything going with 285 on a 9.5 wheel as it will not be able to achieve the correct thread width and you're probably rubbing now since you're running +30. I run -1.2degs of rear camber. Hope this helps.
