Message starvation. Drifting develops considerable levels of prolonged peaky g-forces which can starve the engine from oil, especially given the average RPM you'll be sitting at. Aside from a 1-piece driveshaft I would stay away from the ultra-lightweight flywheels, pulleys, etc. You will want to keep that inertia working in your favor utilizing the stored energy in the heavier flywheel. Finding a nice set of lightweight wheels help. You don't need a lot of power to drift, but more torque does make it easier and more responsive to input when it's needed, so any mods that help to boost that will work in your favor. Aggressive brake pads help to snap the rear around or push pendulum effect, but the factory e-brake can feel weak at times, so make sure it's set tight w/ good brake shoes. The 2+2 works well for drifting, so a good chassis to develop skills on, and easily replaceable.

The NA engine can respond well to certain mods given it's displacement, but the return to dollar ratio usually turns people away unless you're really hardcore.
