Message	Very hot day about two weeks ago. I'm pulling off the freeway, then accelerating away from a light. I hear a loud WHACK from what sounds like under the car, and then the engine sounds/feels out of balance. I have like two blocks to get to work, so I get there, pop the hood and see nothing obvious. After work, I look again, can see nothing. Start the engine, then friend notices the fan looks out of rhythm. Stop the engine and now the missing blade position is pointed where we can see it. Yikes. I knew my fan had some cracks in the plastic, but didn't think much more of it. Also seems the fan clutch had it that day because it's completely seized. Here's what's left of the lower shroud. Definitely lucky it wasn't worse, or that it threw out another blade while looking for the problem!!! VISIT thumper300zx.com for PICS and TECH PAGES
