| 1) how handy are you and do you have a good range of tools? A shop will charge $$$ and there is no guarantee they will know anything more than you have already researched. Are there experienced tt.net folk who can help? This will make a huge difference in completing a swap. 2) is there a good source for a TT motor near you? That, and swap parts are getting harder to come by... wiring harness for sure, and some small engine parts are disappearing. 3) what is your budget? I did my TT swap into my '93 vert which was a 10K endeavour (with a 5 speed swap included) ... Canadian bux, but still, that was back in 2013. 4) Tuning. What brings the project together is custom ECU tuning. Not as simple as dropping the engine in and go... it will make the car a total package for fun driving. Not a cheap road to go, but properly done, it will be satisfying.
