Clear matches the other lenses on the front of the car which is why the look succeeds, clean, simple, it creates more uniformity and less distraction from the beautiful lines on the front end. Maybe on a black Z smoked would be okay. Plus, smoked always looks like they need to be cleaned. People obviously can and do put whatever the "like" on their Z. As the saying goes, "There no accounting for personal taste."
