Message	Last week I changed the tires to 285/30/18 and 245/35/18. This combo is very close to the stock diameter. My previous tires were only one size bigger, but apparently enough to make a difference. I told the tech to use the PTU loop. He argued with me and said he only uses the coil. It was almost like he thought I was trying to cheat the test or something. Or maybe he didn't understand me, language may have been an issue. Whatever. Anyways, he didn't have any problem with the RPMs and the test completed. I assume the smaller tires resolved the problem. Unfortunately my car failed due to high NOx. But that's another problem.
