Message and heat you're creating due to not taxing your engine as hard to make power, which equates to a more reliable setup at a given HP goal. Earlier powerbands, wider power under the curve... What's not to like? There is no downside other than a thinner wallet. Greg Dupree's post that ConVerTT linked is exactly what I was thinking when I saw this post, and is an excellent source of knowledge via data logged experience.
