Message	You’re asking us which way is easier..when your mechanic is the one who diagnosed it, and I assume he would be doing the repair.. so why wouldn’t you let him repair it the way he recommends? There’s no right answer. If you do it in a garage, on concrete, with hand tools, pull the motor ..... if you have a hoist, engine support, and power tools, pull subframe. If you want to do turbos, pull engine and do everything, but if I was only resealing oil pan, I’d drop subframe (but I have access to hoist)
