Went through torrential rain in North Dakota and Wisconsin... hard enough rain that I had to pull over for visibility concerns. Tape def got wet under the car bra. Drove another 2 days to Z Con. Pulling the tape off in the hotel parking lot: 
Used a little Lemon pledge to remove a trace of tape adhesive residue... nothing major. Car paint was good enough for this: .jpg)
Use good quality 3M tape, not the shitty Duck brand garbage.
