some reason seek enclosed trailers as if towing the car through open air is somehow more damaging than driving the car through the air. You can keep your Z locked and pull it on open trailer with no untoward effects, unless you have another agenda. If cost is a factor, tow it in the open and > 99% chance you will get the same result as closed. I have towed a couple of cars cross-country, once behind a moving van and nothing bad happened, although I have never towed a Z. My natural instinct would be to baby and protect her but not sure I would spend the extra more money for an enclosed transport.
