I was driving the TT a few days ago, and did a 5th gear pull. All the sudden, I lost 5th gear. It popped out of 5th in the middle of accelerating, then there was nothing when I shift back into 5th. No gear, free movement from neutral to the 5th gear position. No grinding or parts flying/tumbling around. It just went out. Later I found that reverse was gone as well. Same free movement when standing still. I did find that when moving forward, 10+mph, reverse will not let me engage, and you can hear the gears making contact, when trying to engage. Once you stop, the shifter freely moves into the reverse position, but there's no reverse...
Has anyone had this happen? What could be the problem? Fork, shaft nut?
