My only consideration is the current configuration of your present car has a lot more intrinsic value, as opposed to an NA; and you'll be losing more equity by swapping a TT as opposed to an NA. Also you'll piss off more people by gutting a TT than a beat up NA. But if you want a fun project with some challenges; but one that has been done by dozens of others and has a fairly deep knowledge base; then go for it.
