- Get a Nismo Thermostat. I am an "oem" guy when it comes to T-stat, but the nismo one should help you out a lot. It opens about 20 F earlier than the OEM one - I also 2nd what mixman said, run about 70/30mix water to coolant. Coolant in itself doesnt "flow" as well as water, and can actually cause engines to overheat if the % is too high. -E85 also helps cool the engine down(if you're setup for it) - get an aftermarket water temp gauge. The OEM needle usually has 3 settings( COLD, normal, and it's too late). I definitely wouldnt rely on the OEM gauge.
