1) the verts don't really have the exhaust drone issue... In the coupes I think the exhaust noise travels back up the hatch to your head. Obviously no roof in the verts, plus combination of the hard tonneau over the gas tank and the enclosed trunk basically mutes the noise much better. (especially if your subs are under the tonneau, completing the front, to back seal...) 2) the wind buffetting is different.... In the vert, the air flows though the cabin and out the back, even at high speed, windows down. It feels very similar to being in a speed boat if that helps... With the T-top I get the sensation that some of the air is hitting the hatch and bouncing back causing a buffeting effect that is different than the vert.
