Looking at the diagram, if you disconnect the battery, and turn the ignition key to the "on" position, then the old procedure using pin 58 "might" work ("should" but I haven't tried it). If it does, then the PSA could have said something like "remember to disconnect the battery and switch your ignition key to the on position when performing this test ..." or something like that... I'd say Keep it simple - just use pin 45. So ...I stand by my original PSA - please be aware that the common injector voltage is wired to pin 45 (not 58) if you have a Wiring Specialties harness.
