Message	the other one was cut a piece of board in the shape of the hatch carpet as a hatch base and screw the bottoms to that... but that would put holes in the carpet and add a big piece to the hatch. They fit tight enough with velcro for everyday driving... but if you got your blood up, you'd hear them go for a ride after the second bend... lol
