I purchased a Powertrain industries 10lb driveshafts on a group buy many years ago and recently took it for balancing. I had the car for sale but the first person to drive it mentioned it didn't feel right. The machine shop found the driveshaft is balanced without the rear flange that connects to the differential. When they attach the flange it wobbles and has balance issues. The input shaft also has a groove worn in it. The rear flange and input shaft were reconditioned and looked rough when I got it, I remember sending my original 2 piece driveshaft as a core.
I'm looking for advice, wondering if I should try to fix the Powertrain industries driveshaft, or buy something else. I e-mailed and tried to call Powertrain industries for advice but response yet.
