Quality of the craftsmanship is the most important, since the finish can always be changed/altered. I know you say you don't expect it to cover the gauges and I hope you're happy with the outcome, but pictures and EVLTWINZ first hand experience say it will. I think at this point it's a matter of how much they cover and how much it bothers you... Congrats on the purchase though! Maybe I'll join you some day...
