| I noticed a lot of transmission whine in the cabin of my '90 track car but just chalked it up to 'racecar' noise. When Greg D was out for a dyno event, he said my lower rubber boot wasn't seated. Damned if he wasn't right... popped it back on (stretch the rubber pull tabs and massage it onto the sheet metal edge of the trans tunnel hole for a complete seal) Quieted it right down... even at full burn on the straight on the roadcourse. Still some noise coming through, but cut it waaaaay back. Stillen shifter, stock linkage. I hear the Z Speed bracket won't work with the stock boots
