Message	I was wondering if that is because they use a flattening agent or just don't clear over the base coat? Seems like base coat would not hold up very well without the clear-- unless they used an integrated catalyst. I seem to also recall seeing a couple posts about some sort of cosmoline coating that folks had removed and polished the paint to a shine. But, that could just be my memory playing tricks on me...
