Message	hub adapter. There are notches in the clock spring for the steering angle sensor that ties to the HICAS. If your HICAS is functioning you need this hub adapter to keep your steering angle sensor happy. It adds onto the aftermarket quick release unit, which is why the wheel is moved forward. Good explaination with pics here: R32 but still applies to Z32 HICAS
