Message I tend to share your sentiment, but if I am going to put a V8 into a Z am I really going to deal with a VH and the utter lack of support compared to an LS, which is a better V8 in pretty much every way that actually matters?

I certainly wouldnt swap to less cylinders, so where does that leave me? an RB or VQ/VR swap? No thanks, I doubt the VR will even fit due to its height, and what would be the point of a VQ?

Basically the RB is your only sensible choice for a kosher-swap, and that sounds like a lot more needless hassle than an LS swap.
Putting an LS in a TT still gives me some heartburn, but swapping NA's all day doesn't bother me at all if I think about it. Seems like a great option for a pure track car.
