third owners won't be like us as owners. Rather they're the kids with no money, and no mechanical skills who will just drive them until they break and cost too much at the indie shop to get fixed. Then they're 'off the road' permanently. Doesn't really matter if they rust away in a field or go to the crusher; they're gone as far as body count is considered. And to the point of my dissertation, this is happening faster now than in the past; and will continue to accelerate until those left become too expensive for the hapless kids to purchase.
