Message 1. use the shipping fluid for break in. Top off w. Nissan fluid if needed.
2. he does not think that the noise is actually the bearing, its the gears getting too shinned up and their interface is getting polished
3. much like people complaining about gear whine from Leader gear

300HP / 300TQ break in on factory fluid is his recommendation

He has taken 3 98+ transmissions apart and found the noise in the gears from the way they are meshing together. Gear metallurgy was changed in 98+, people are not breaking them in correctly, using the wrong fluid and they are overloading them with torque, this causes the oil to squeeze out from between the gears and they polish up and get noisy. Once the noise has set in no fluid change etc will help. It could be possible to take the gears off and have them shot peened to remove the polish and reassemble. He does not believe it has anything to do with a specific bearing failure.
