(assuming engine is original to it)? Personally, I would pull the cylinder heads and look at the bore condition (or you can use a bore scope if you want to eliminate potentially lost time finding out the block is trashed. You might also opt to buy a good used engine out of a member's car who is upgrading to turbo. Second thing I would do is get rid of the auto tranny and go manual. I hated the anemic auto tranny in my 2+2 even when purchased nearly new many years ago.
