Message	toggle my SZ map switcher to the matching tune. I also adjust my boost controller if the ethanol content is low. I bought a 2010 Saab 9-3 last fall and converted it to flex fuel. All the Saab needed was a software upload, and it will run on any mixture of gas and ethanol. It constantly reads the air fuel mixture and adjusts fuel as required. It also uses the spark plugs and ionization sensing to prevent knock by adjusting timing and turbo boost. https://www.eeuroparts.com/blog/5436/tech-corner-saab-trionic-and-ionization-sensing/ I'd think an advanced stand alone system could do the same, but I don't think they are there yet.
