Message	Long story very short: New motor, and all new bits, through and through. Drove about 300 miles on it, very very softly (< 3k rpm, no boost). Oil leak after long drives (30 minutes), 12" long by 1" wide. Leak clearly coming out weep hole in trans. Pulled trans, and inspected brand new rear main seal = perfect and dry.(actually, everything is brand new). The oil pan is wet where the rubber pan seal is. (is the seal back-ards?). Regardless, its not wet where the pan sits on the block. What's your solution to this, shy of pulling the pan? If I clean it with alcohol, and spooge a rope of Permatex Black Oil resistant in the gap (3/16" wide x 3/16" deep), do you think it'll last?
