If you can buy a "just about new" Z for what it would have cost 20+ years ago with the intent of driving it, you essentially have a "new" car for much less than it would cost to get anything comparable today. Nice thing about the Z32 is that it can still compete with most newer cars in terms of safety, driveability, styling, and features. Sure, the resale value is not comparable with Supras, etc, but if you arent buying it as an investment, I can see the logic in paying more for a low mile car (as long as the needed maintenance is done). Most 70k cars are going to be worth considerably less the minute you drive them off the showroom floor anyway.
