Message	the slippery plastic that Z interiors use. I've used thin cardboard (cereal box) coated in a layer of shoegoop, cut and bent to shape, and then shoegooped onto the affected area as a way to replace entire chunks of missing plastic. Still holding rock hard after all these years too. It's become habit for me now to reinforce any cracked plastics with it whenever I spot them.
