Message	uses the external MAP sensor to measure manifold pressure, but uses the internal sensor to measure barometric pressure. With this in mind, it can manage to control boost to gauge pressure instead of absolute, in which case your turbo pressure ratio is fixed no matter what the elevation. But great question. I would be curious to hear from the experts that tune the Haltech ECUs.
